TAweekly: Could you please introduce the general situation of the development of printing and dyeing industry in 2022?
Chen Zhihua: 2022 is an extraordinary year. The ongoing evolution of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine has caused high and volatile prices of energy, basic raw materials and other commodities, and highlighted the production cost pressure of printing and dyeing enterprises. Major economies in Europe and the United States accelerated monetary policy tightening under the pressure of high inflation, increasing downward pressure on the world economy. The frequent occurrence of the novel coronavirus epidemic has impacted the normal production and operation of the industry, but also significantly inhibited the end consumption of textiles and clothing. The lack of demand leads to the overall low capacity utilization rate of printing and dyeing enterprises. As a result of a variety of more than expected factors interweave superposition, the industry is facing significantly increased development pressure.
From January to November 2022, the printing and dyeing cloth output of 1,715 enterprises above designated size in the printing and dyeing industry was 50.435 billion meters, 7.05% less than the same period last year; The operating revenue reached 282.54 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 5.97%; The total profit was 11.298 billion yuan, 9.66% lower than last year; Sales profit margin was 4.00%, 0.69 percentage points lower than last year; The loss area of the industry increased by 7.85 percentage points to 32.30%, and the total loss of loss-making enterprises increased by 77.39%.
As can be seen from the above data, the economic operation of printing and dyeing industry in 2022 is obviously under pressure, especially in terms of operating efficiency, some enterprises have a large loss. TAweekly: In your opinion, what are the highlights of the development of printing and dyeing industry worth mentioning in 2022?
Chen Zhihua: The printing and dyeing industry faces development pressure in 2022, but there are still some bright spots.
First, the export of major products bucked the trend. From January to November 2022, the export volume of eight printing and dyeing products reached 27.337 billion meters, with a year-on-year growth of 7.83%; The export value was 28.932 billion US dollars, up 13.09% year on year; The average unit price of exports was $1.06 per meter, 4.88% higher than last year. Driven by increasing international market demand and rising prices of finished products driven by raw materials, export value reached a record high in the same period.
Second, the transformation and upgrading of the industry continued. Facing the complex and severe situation at home and abroad, printing and dyeing enterprises have carried out fruitful thinking and practice in lean management, green transformation, intelligent upgrading and other aspects, and the internal driving force of industry development has been further enhanced. In 2022, the association successfully held management annual conference, environmental protection Annual conference and other industry conferences. Chen Zhihua: In 2022, faced with the complex situation of century-old changes and century-old epidemics superimposed on each other, the industry service work of the association has withstood the major test and carried out a lot of practical, innovative and forward-looking work, playing an important role in solving the difficulties of the industry, promoting the stable development of the industry and leading the transformation and upgrading of the industry.

In 2022, the association carried out a number of special investigations, in-depth understanding of the development of enterprises, timely and accurately reflect the problems and demands of enterprises, in order to seek more policy support for the industry; Publicize and implement the central package of policies and measures to stabilize the economy, help the implementation of policies and strategies, and promote printing and dyeing enterprises should know and enjoy.
Second, build a platform for industrial exchanges and cooperation to promote industrial transformation and upgrading.
